PauL H was born in east london into a very musical family in 1970, he grew up listening to all forms of music from jazz to soul,hip hop and ska and alot of inspiration came from his late father who inspired him on his musical journey and where he is today in music, his first taste of music was in the mid to late seventies listening to the likes of the commodores, bill withers and chaka khan plus many mores artists who inspired along the way. In the early 80s his taste turn to early hip-hop and electro and 80s soul likes of the grandmaster flash ,africa bambaataa and the soul sonic force, doug e fresh plus many more then in 1986 to 1987 he got his first taste in house music listening to artists such as farley jackmaster funk, derrick may, kevin saunderson to name a few who inspired him to become a dj and what he stills plays to date. He first starting djing in 1987 when he met his long time friend and dj partner jay d who got him involved into house music where they used to host parties for friends all over east london, then in 1988 paul h or dj sham at the time got his first break into radio playing on radio station power fm along side his long time friend and dj "jay d" hosting a weekly show on there playing early forms of house music ,acid house etc which was the forefront of of his music and is still loved and played to day. 1990-1993 They got a call to present a show on top underground station the original chillin fm not the one on today hosting a weekly saturday morning show together playing along side djs anton, dizzi d ,hellium,jesse j,joey g and more which kick started his radio career off playing out at various clubs and parties over the weekend to hundreds of ravers enjoying the house scene at the time those were the good old days when ravers used party hard all over the weekend acid house days, smilely faces and bandanas what madness but fun, and at the same time was presenting shows on sister station pulse fm with djs nick power, dj hype, nicky blackmarket plus many more household names at the time playing hardcore and early jungle. In late 1993 when chillin fm finished he moved to drum n bass station eruption fm playing hardcore and drum n bass until late 1994 where he had a change of direction in his music and decided to go back to his roots playing "US" House and garage so then in feb 1995 he moved onto a station playing uk house & garage called Risk fm,the clubs that i played at were likes of the rocket , club un ,powerhouse ,suncity and many more, along side top djs likes of matt jam lamont, karl tuff nuff,plus many more top djs who graced the decks at the time. So when Risk fm finished in late 1998 Paul H moved on and " TOUCH FM " was formed playing quality dance music to london and the world hosting a selection of top djs on the dance scene which many can be found now on londons leading internet house music station www.unknownfm.net today. When touch fm seized in 2001 paul h had various stints on other stations like passion fm etc then in 2004 he joined londons leading house music station www.unknownfm.net hosting a weekly show on a sunday midday playing a selection of deep house music to london and beyond then in 2005 paul had a short break from radio due to family commitments then returned to radio and joined station fm hosting a weekly house show running on a friday night for 2yrs, then in october 2007 paul h decided to return to londons leading no1 internet house music station www.unknownfm.net where you can now find him hosting " The Sunday Shakedown Show" each and every sunday evening between 8pm - 10pm (GMT) playing a selection of deep,tech, underground house music to a worldwide audience young and old, paul has been known as a crowd pleaser with his tight mixing skills and abilties and professional presentation on the radio and on the club scene aswell one dj to look out for !
